About the role

STARTING RATE: $18.00

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: State of Nevada Gaming Permit and an Unexpired Government issued Identification. Must attend training and pass the Title 31 test prior to the first shift. Must comply with Title 31 requirements in addition to annual training and testing.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide information to casino management with regard to guest’s credit worthiness. Position will perform job duties for all Mesquite Gaming properties. Partner with Cage Manager and Cage Director to ensure that cage runs smoothly. Stay updated on Title 31 requirements for the ability to work Main Bank, Employee Window or Front Line Cashier as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Casino credit experience preferred. Must have excellent attention to detail to maintain accuracy and security required in Casino credit. Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Candidate must be computer literate. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, credit, and background investigations. High school diploma required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepare the department for daily activity, including maintaining office supplies.

2. Check and verify credit account information as necessary.

3. Responsible for processing credit applications with guests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.

4. Liaison with management for appropriate credit approvals and customer service levels.

5. Maintains strict adherence to the department policies and procedures are necessary to maintain integrity of the credit operation.

6. Must have excellent attention to detail to maintain accuracy and security of sensitive information.

7. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.


CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:

• Maintains knowledge of facilities and upcoming and ongoing Special Events to advise guests.

• Conveys a consistently professional and friendly attitude while performing transactions internal and external customers.

• Above average written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, books, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

WORK CONDITIONS:

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g. use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays; this position may require occasional overtime.
