The eSports Program Instructor I is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the eSports lounge and equipment at the Edwards Field House. This position supports leagues and tournaments, as well as classes, camps, and clinics for all ages in both group and individual settings. POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: eSports Program Instructor I

Location: Edwards Field House (Edwards, CO)

Schedule: Part-Time; Seasonal (May - October) 


Work Environment: Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Work schedule is varied but generally requires weekday hours with occasional weekends and holidays. The flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention much or all the time. Physical exertion includes frequent walking, bending and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, pushing, pulling, and kneeling to store, set-up, and clean-up equipment and supplies. Job stress may include dealing with crowds, uncooperative participants, difficult individuals, exposure to childhood illness, and periods of continuous demand. 


Supervision Required: Works under the supervision of the Program Instructor II, Facility Supervisor, or Facility Coordinator 

Supervision Exercised: None; however leadership and direction may be provided to assistants and volunteers.

  

Salary: $17.61-$22.01/hour DOE; staff in this position are eligible for a $1/hour incentive for Spanish/English bilingual and can pass the language competency test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

General Statement of Duties: Assists in planning and instructing programs, classes, and activities. Helps to develop lesson plans, prepare materials, instruct classes, and monitor participants.


Examples of Duties:

  • Assists in Instructing classes, programs, and activities. Helps plan, organize, and implement curriculum based upon overall program objectives and guidelines. 
  • Oversees the safety, comfort, and progress of participants. 
  • Develops rapport with participants and responds to questions or concerns. 
  • Assists in collaboration with staff to develop, plan, and schedule classes. 
  • Communicates with staff regarding facility, equipment, and supply needs. 
  • Set up, take down, and clean-up after classes as necessary. 
  • Addresses program specific risk management/safety issues. 
  • Facilitates inclusion of special needs participants
