Position Overview

The Department of Classics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) to join our team for the 2025 Autumn Semester.  This is an associated faculty position, one semester appointment with the potential for renewal.

Performance Objectives

The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of Classics as assigned; hold office hours; grade assignments and submit grades; and may participate in curriculum development and course coordination.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Doctoral Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Classroom teaching experience is required. ABDs are welcome to apply but the successful candidate must have PhD in hand by August 15, 2025, when the appointment will commence.

Desired: Demonstrated skill as an instructor, especially in undergraduate courses.
