Job Description

The Sr. Directory Engineer is a critical member of the NBCU Cyber Security Directory & Authentication team responsible for the deployment, development, and maintenance of our Directory infrastructures that support NBCUniversal's current and emerging business and technology requirements.  The Sr. Directory Engineer is part of a team of Engineers that are work together to drive our strategies, remove, and replace our legacy infrastructure, upgrade our current directories, and drive our technologies to cloud. This position reports to the Director of Cyber Security Directory Services and will work in close collaboration with the CISO, CISO's direct reports, other lead architects and engineers within the NBCUniversal business areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for Azure. Develop Standards in a multi-tenant implementation, provide documentation and SOPs for team members.
  • Work with team members on Operational Tasks and Develop Automation on day-to-day tasks.  Provide technical direction and leadership to resolve critical operational issues supporting our Operations Team.
  • Work closely with key security, technology, and business groups to implement approved designs and features 
  • Remediate, develop, and deploy net new Directory and enabled features.
  • As part of a team, shape the Directory roadmap to ensure alignment of security initiatives, business access needs, and technology drivers to help drive a secure, world class identity and access framework
  • Lead Directory projects and provide status updates to project teams and Leadership.
  • Work with approved vendors on solutions or enhancements to current products
  • Participate in long range strategic planning and capitol budgeting proposals
  • Create and maintain architectural reference documentation
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 7+ years’ experience working on Active Directory and Azure AD
  • MCSE or MCSA or equivalent work experience
  • Additional Microsoft certifications a plus  
  • 5+ years proven work history providing solution within Azure AD. Expert knowledge of application integrations, conditional access polices, Azure AD Connect.
  • 5+ years proven work history of providing solutions for Active Directory, authentications, access, and object / attribute synchronization to a global enterprise.
  • 5+ years proven work history of Application authentication and experience setting up application packages and modern auth configurations in Azure AD
  • Excellent employee service skills. Always mindful of the ‘user experience’
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Work with staff and management across all levels of the organization
