Position Summary and Qualifications:

Practitioner Educator, Surgical Technology programs functions in a Part Time (Adjunct) capacity and must be familiar with the surgical technology program goals and be knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation.

The surgical technology practitioner educator must be proficient in supervision, instruction, and evaluation.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing instruction, evaluation of students, documentation of progress, and periodic review of course content.

  • Assist in student laboratory exercises offered at SJU – Lancaster.

  • Visit students at assigned clinical sites on a frequency defined by the program director.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must hold a current Certified Surgical Technology (CST) certification.

  • Associates degree acceptable: Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • A minimum of three years of documented experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
