Job Description
The Staff Accountant will ensure timely and accurate cash receipts, monthly reconciliations, General Ledger and related records management processing and provide quality customer service in resolving collection and cash receipt inquiries for both external vendors/customers and internal departments, as well as assist in the monthly closing activities of the department.
Essential Functions
- Prepares monthly ledger account reconciliations and adjusting entries as necessary.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for CAL’s various bank accounts.
- Reviews American Express charges for accuracy and reconciles charges with employees’ expense report.
- Reviews and maintains cash receipt ledger to record all cash receipts and prepares cash deposits, as needed for staff coverage.
- Maintains update-to-date accounts receivable records, and performs necessary follow-up on collections.
- Respond to AR inquiries from customers and/or make collection calls as necessary;
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Finance Director.
Qualifications
Education:
BA/BS in a relevant field with 6 years of experience.

COMPENSATION:
Minimum Salary: $75,000 Annually ; Benefits eligible
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate. The employee may be required to sit or stand in a stationary position for 50% of the time. This position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment. CAL adheres to ADA compliance and guidelines as a common practice.
