Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school or need an at-home or flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual spans across three states, Arizona, Indiana, and Texas, with new states introduced each year.

Overview
The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with the applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606). This position plays a critical role in supporting the month-end close process, preparing reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of revenue-related accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly related to revenue recognition.

Essential Duties

• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and internal company policies.
• Review customer contracts to identify and assess invoicing and revenue recognition schedules.
• Collaborate with Strategy consultants and Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure accurate contract data and billing terms.
• Manage customer invoicing and accounts receivable.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
• Assist with monthly close activities, including revenue reporting and analysis.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Prepare annual revenue budget and monthly forecast updates through working with the Business Development team and the Corporate Controller.
• Maintain and improve revenue accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes 

• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in revenue or general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue accounting recognition standards (ASC 606).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite
