Your role in our mission

  • The position supports required analytics, report design, data integration and transformation process crucial to the function of the Gainwell Technologies Data Analytics Services for our customers. 
  • You will work with the client to develop critical reports, research analysis, and design Builds mapping documents, acting on feedback from Gainwell stakeholders, team leaders, clients, and vendors.
  • Determines best practices and provides suggestions on how to improve current operational process and practices.
  • Work closely with analysts and engineers to deploy solutions in batch and real-time while systematically tracking model performance.
  • Build complex data sets and flows from multiple data sources using SQL and Python.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, inclusive of Medicaid clients.
  • Assist engagements with key business stakeholders relative to business opportunities.
  • Be an evangelist driving wider adoption of analytics across the enterprise.
  • Design data science projects delivering innovative technical solutions improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Support the design, development, testing of Machine Learning (ML) /Statistical models to not only learn from our vast amounts of data but to build new product features.

What we're looking for

 

  • 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Statistics, Informatics, Data Science, Applications/Database Development and/or other related quantitative fields
  • Experience in supporting complex Healthcare Data Science projects from requirements through design, development, testing and production.
  • Experience using data visualization tools and Databricks (Tableau, Databricks) to share ongoing insights.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Flask, and Databricks within AWS.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid IT systems and Institutional and Pharmacy/Drug data and elements.
  • Ability to lead client meetings and Gainwell stakeholders.

 

Additional Skills/Experience

  • Computer Science Degree: Statistics, Informatics, or another quantitative field.  Advance degree in Data Science is preferred.
  • Building Data Science/Machine Learning/AI models and outcomes/observations.
  • Analysis leveraging complex data sources derived from multiple internal systems.
  • Working with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, and Glacier/Archival.

What you should expect in this role

 

  • HYBRID ROLE:  work onsite 2 days per week at the Columbus, OH 43215 office, and work from home (within a commutable distance to Columbus, OH) 3 days per week.
  • Work Hours: Eastern Time Zone
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
    Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation
