Role & Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of the patient health information delivery, fiscal administration and professional development in assigned areas of responsibilities.
- Acts as a liaison for lead staff as well as administration in planning, implementing, communicating, evaluating and coordinating all record processing operations associated with CHHS's mission, vision and values. Direct areas of oversight include Record Imaging, Medical Record Completion, Clinical Forms management, and Regional/Metro Services support related to HIM activities of responsibility.
- Responsible for meeting regulatory standards, such as the Record of Care standards for The Joint Commission and state and federal law.
Schedule & Location:
- Children's WI Summit Office | ONSITE
- Monday - Friday | 1.0 FTE - 40 hours/week
Education, Certification, Etc.
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) and active Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required and/or a Bachelor's degree in a related health care field along with work experience in an HIM department.
- A Bachelor's degree in HIM, with certification as Registered Health Information Management Administrator (RHIA) is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
- Two year of related experience in a hospital setting, experience in HIM preferred.
- Focus on supervision/ leadership in similar healthcare type setting also preferred.
- Ability to achieve departmental goals through effective supervision of employees.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with physicians, clinicians, and department personnel as well as outside vendors.
- Requires and ability to initiate action, creatively solve problems, write reports and deal with tight deadlines.
