Our new Human Resources (HR) Generalist position is envisioned as a critical member of our dynamic HR team performing general day-to-day administration of vital HR recruitment and employment programs and services. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Generalist collaborates to ensure effective administration of recruitment, hiring and other HR employment practices, researches and incorporates industry best practices, and aligns services with JCC values to achieve our strategic goals, objectives, and best-in-class aspirations.

Interacting with employees and managers at all levels to ensure that HR is fully accessible and as the initial point of contact for hiring managers, this role is primarily responsible for effectively addressing recruitment and job posting requests, providing timely effective responses, fostering high-quality HR services, and owning and driving the processes to successfully and effectively attract, source, recruit, and hire top talent. This position will drive strategic and creative sourcing, and facilitate effective screening, candidate management and selection practices, while ensuring compliant and effective hiring practices. This professional ensures that our employees receive precise information, are well guided/advised on recruitment and hiring policies and procedures, and experience excellent HR services in assigned areas. Initiating this collaborative work, this position strives to foster efficient and effective processes and workflows, and contributes to system/program improvements. Our primary object is to strengthen HR services, practices and operations so each employee may thrive in their roles with JCC Greater Boston. Other primary responsibilities include driving and executing on offer letters, supporting with pre-employment investigations, verifications, screenings, and references, and owning the effective management of all aspects of the ATS and posting system.
The HR Generalist will work closely with the Director and other HR team members to contribute to the successful execution of several annual strategic priorities (initiatives and projects). Experience, skill set, area of interest, area of adept knowledge, and department/organizational need will determine project assignments). Current projects include co-creating and implementing recruitment and hiring practices, a best-in-class onboarding program, an exit interview and survey practice, a new manager orientation/onboarding program, updating and revamping our employee policies and procedures handbooks, and enhancing our workflows and practices leveraging ATS and other technologies.

This is a full-time, salaried position offering a competitive benefits package, a supportive work environment with hybrid work options, and a competitive starting salary of $58,000 – $72,000 annually. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications and experience, and JCC's internal equity.
