THE ROLE:

Entegris is currently seeking Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team.  This position will be based in our Decatur, TX facility.

This salaried role will plan and direct daily activity of employees and equipment in a 24/7 machining operations.  Coordinate with other departments to assure timely and accurate completion of orders.  Safely and efficiently ensure customers’ expectations are met in regard to quality and on time delivery. 

HOURS FOR THIS SALARIED POSITION ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY DAY SHIFT WITH FLEXIBILITY TO WORK MORE HOURS AS NEEDED ON OTHER SHIFTS TO MANAGE A 24/7 OPERATION.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide manufacturing leadership to the production team 
• Promote a safety culture through daily conversation and resolve employee safety concerns 
• Use lean principles to ensure efficient product flow and work with the team to implement continuous improvement ideas 
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to support production 
• Hold production leads accountable to goals and improvement plans while developing their leadership and coaching skills 
• Organize staff to maximize efficiency (ie. Safety, Quality, On Time Shipping, Cycle-time and Gross Margin) meeting or exceeding department goal 
• Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production expectations 
• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product 
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist/coach employees in solving work problems and proactively address issues with employee with supportive documentation 
• Maintain time and production records 
• Ensure employees are trained on procedures relating to safety, product, and quality

WHAT WE SEEK:

• Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred plus minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment or combination of education and experience 
• Ability to provide leadership and drive a continuous improvement in culture through open communication 
• High degree of accountability and integrity while achieving the best results possible 
• An effective communicator with all levels of the organization 
• Experience in a supervisory/lead role preferred 
• Basic knowledge of machining and scheduling of precision parts 
• Basic blueprint interpretation skills 
• Familiarization with manufacturing methods such as lean manufacturing, cellular work centers, operator verification 
• Strong computer skills with MS Office experience 
• Personal experience in working in an ISO 9001/AS 9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 environment a plus. 
• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
