Job Title: Storeroom Shipping and Receiving Coordinator- Steelscape Kalama
Department: Maintenance
Job Title Reporting to: Senior Engineer- Steelscape Kalama
The Parts Receiving Coordinator supports the Maintenance organization by receiving, checking in, stocking, documenting, delivering, and coordinating the flow of maintenance parts, materials, freight, supplies, and related shipments. This role partners with maintenance leaders, planners, engineers, technicians, storeroom personnel, parts coordination, production stakeholders, vendors, and carriers to ensure incoming parts are accurately received, safely handled, properly stored, and made available to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The position helps maintain accurate receiving records, inventory movement, storeroom organization, vendor-stocked consumables, outgoing shipments, and plant delivery service while promoting Zero Harm, good housekeeping, inventory accuracy, and responsive service to internal customers.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
Receiving, Freight, and Shipment Coordination
Check in UPS shipments and other incoming freight, verify correct receipt information, and route materials to the appropriate storeroom, maintenance, or plant location.
Inspect incoming packages and freight for basic receiving issues such as visible damage, missing information, incorrect quantities, or delivery deviations and communicate concerns for follow-up.
Prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate shipping documentation, packaging, staging, and carrier handoff as required by site process.
Maintain accurate receiving and shipment records using SAP, Microsoft Office, email, and other tracking tools as required.
Storeroom Stocking, Inventory, and Parts Movement
Restock spare parts after they have been received and return unused spare parts to appropriate stock locations when they are not needed for a job.
Assign or support store locations for new stock items and maintain organized storage locations, labels, documentation, and housekeeping in the storeroom and related storage areas.
Perform cycle inventory counts, physical counts, periodic checks, and discrepancy follow-up to support inventory accuracy and reliable system information.
Update inventory levels based on non-work order stock issue slips and help maintain records of quantity, receipt, disbursement, price, and movement of stocked parts, materials, and supplies.
Internal Customer Service and Plant Deliveries
Provide assistance to maintenance associates, planners, engineers, supervisors, and other internal customers in finding storeroom parts and understanding part availability.
