The Mission Systems (MiS) Global Trade (GT) Relationship Senior Manager (RM) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Collins Aerospace remains compliant with export and import control regulations while driving strategic objectives within the Connected Battlespace & Emerging Capabilities (CBEC) value stream. As a key collaborator, the GTRM will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, develop export/import strategies, and provide actionable solutions for export licensing and compliance. This role requires the ability to proactively identify compliance risks, support audits, and partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and foster continuous improvements to the Global Trade Compliance Program.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand export licensing requirements to meet business needs
  • Assist stakeholders in developing export/import strategies needed to accomplish program objectives
  • Partner with GT Authorizations team to ensure timely completion of DDTC and BIS export license applications
  • Identify compliance risks, assist on audits and development of plans to eliminate/mitigate GT risks
  • Partner with business stakeholders to enable continuous improvement of the Collins GT Compliance Program

  • In-depth Compliance Expertise: Gain comprehensive experience with both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), developing a deep understanding of how to apply these complex regulations to various strategic business objectives
  • Strategic Export/Import Licensing: Learn how to navigate and streamline export licensing processes, including working directly with the DDTC and BIS, and apply this expertise to a broad range of programs within the aerospace and defense sectors
  • Emerging Technologies: Develop insights into how compliance requirements evolve with cutting-edge technologies, particularly in developmental and dual-use technologies, and stay ahead of regulatory changes to support innovative product development
  • Risk Management & Audits: Hone your skills in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, contributing to audits, and developing proactive solutions that ensure the ongoing success of global trade compliance programs
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Strengthen your ability to collaborate with diverse teams across various functions, from business development to legal and operations, and become a trusted advisor in shaping strategies that align with both business goals and regulatory requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience as an ITAR Empowered Official (EO)
  • Experience interpreting and implementing compliance policies and procedures

Qualifications We Prefer:
