Associate Director, Commercial Finance

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking an Associate Director, Commercial Finance. The Associate Director of Commercial Finance is expected to lead a team focused on activities that are of the highest value for improving Parexel’s market position.  In doing so, the Associate Director of Commercial Finance will serve as a partner and direct point of contact to a specific customer or set of customers as well as establish standards and policies for Commercial analytics and decision support across Parexel.

Who we are looking for:

Driven individuals with proven experience working as an Associate Director, Commercial Finance or in a similar role. Who are passionate and knowledgeable in the overall financial management of contract types and will be critical to understand each of the assigned client's portfolio nuances in order to drive additional profit. They must be able to examine a client or multiple clients and make the best decisions for Parexel.  That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with Proposals & Contracts and Account Leads on the development of financial analysis for proposals.
• Leverage understanding of the business context to synthesize financial and operational data into meaningful business insights that highlight performance, risk, and opportunities.  Outline ways to improvement results to Commercial leadership.
• Interpret and evaluate financial and non-financial analysis to support account leaders (ALs) and Client Delivery Directors (CDDs) in client and portfolio decision making process; clearly articulate financial implications of business decisions / choices and provide retrospective analysis as well as drive forward looking actions at account level (large key accounts).
• Partner with SBU / AL leadership to identify new / refine existing best practices in Project Financial Excellence and directly communicate with them to key stakeholders across the organization.

Additional details:

Relevant level of progressive Finance and Management leadership roles with strong analytical and partnering track record. Ideal candidate has both strong financial and clinical development expertise, usually gained with 10+ years of experience.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word. Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual who can see the big picture. BA in Finance or Accounting; MA in Finance or MBA, or equivalent experience required.
