Job Description:

GDIT has an opportunity for a Software Developer Senior to support a new and exciting federal program that consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services. This program will support the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.

HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

•    Expert-level software development support
•    Applies expert knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
•    Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software
•    Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications
•    Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
•    Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software
•    Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
•    Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
•    Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
•    Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
•    Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
•    Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team
•    Participates in development of software user manuals

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $124,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
