Description

 

Required Experience

5-8 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database development and support.
Strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
Experience working with large-scale transactional databases and data warehouse environments.
Technical Skills

Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
Advanced T-SQL programming and query optimization.
Database performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL processes.
Knowledge of SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduling, and automation.
Familiarity with data modeling, normalization, and database design principles.
Experience creating and maintaining SSRS reports and/or Power BI reports.
Understanding of SQL Server security, permissions, and role-based access controls.
Experience with source control tools such as Git/Azure DevOps.
Preferred Skills

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or cloud-based data platforms.
Exposure to Python and modern data processing frameworks.
Experience supporting data integrations, APIs, and file-based interfaces.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
Healthcare, Medicare, or insurance domain experience is a plus.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain SQL Server database solutions.
Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, and ETL processes.
Investigate and resolve database performance issues.
Support application development teams with database-related enhancements and troubleshooting.
Participate in database migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
Create technical documentation and support production deployments.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
