Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Release Train Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The position is Hybrid with the possibility to work 2 days from home.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitates Program Increment (PI) planning, visualizing and managing the flow of features and capabilities from ideation to analysis, implementation, and release.
Outlines business and technical goals that development teams intend to achieve and the relationship to program objectives.
Coaches the ART on Agile / SAFE Principles and mindset, course correct any Anti-Patterns.
Manages and coordinates large and complex development projects, facilitate synchronization events (i.e. meetings and processes) and coordinating between cross functional teams.
Helps manage risk and dependencies between teams. Escalating and tracking impediments. Provides input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
Facilitates of system demos that provide integrated view of new features for the iteration delivered by all the teams on the ART.
Represents the development teams in front of senior leadership to provide status updates, acquiring feedback or approval.
Performs a critical role in the data driven decision making process. Creates and interprets metrics to guide the organization to continuously improve. Analyzes data used to track key performance indexes providing insights and context to the results.
Creates an environment of continuous improvement by facilitating Inspect and Adapt workshops.
Initiates strategic efforts to enhance product development workflow and process.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in IT-related field, or additional 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of (5) five years of experience in IT Project Management in Agile environments.including (3) three years of experience as a Release Train Engineer leading an ART with at least 3 Agile Software Development Teams.
Experience with agile project management tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
Lean-Agile Leadership Mindset and able to coach agile principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments in a production environment with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated coordination and project management skills with at least 2 years’ experience in leading cross-functional development work in the production environment.
High organizational agility and ability of representing the product development team in communication with the senior leadership.
Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
Candidate must be open to random CI polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
