Video Production Specialist

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is looking for a passionate and talented Video Production Specialist to join its Video team. This is a full-time, year-long position working out of Wolfram's headquarters in Champaign, Illinois.
Join a team of innovative professionals to create high-quality, engaging videos that help people learn, explore and create using our technology stack. You'll be responsible for editing and co-producing training videos, webinars, conference presentations, livecoding sessions and other marketing and promotional materials.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite software applications, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition, to create, edit and enhance audiovisual content
- Creating and implementing MOGRT (motion graphics template) files in After Effects and seamlessly integrating them into Premiere
- Collaborating with team members to track metrics, analyze data and continuously improve content performance
- Performing pre-production planning and conceptualization
- Doing production videography and lighting setup for interviews and events
- Performing post-production editing and implementing audiovisual content
- Doing screencasting and other forms of on-screen audiovisual recording tasks
- Assisting in livestreaming/podcast content production
- Managing video content for hosting and consumer-facing platforms (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo)
- Archiving finished productions and building and maintaining intuitive directories
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in video production, communications or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in a video production role
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software applications, including After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition
- Experience with MOGRT (motion graphic template) workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within project timelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in video hosting platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo and Twitch
- Basic understanding of video camera and microphone operation and terminology
- Experience with audio and video encoding and compression
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with TechSmith Camtasia Studio (or similar screen-capture software)
- Experience with Maxon Cinema 4D (or comparable 3D production applications)
- Familiarity with project management platforms like Jira or similar platforms
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs) in the context of media production or content creation
- Working knowledge of Wolfram Language (in-job training is available)
