Sr UX Designer, Patient and Mobile Experiences

Here at Natera, we believe we have build a pretty solid UX Design team. We have ex industrial designers and architects, avid cyclists and even a motorcycle racer. It's pretty fun and talented crew. We naturally have a few gaps, and one we need to fill without delay is around Mobile Design. Is that your specialty? If so read along.

As part of Natera’s UX Design & Research team, you will be responsible for the design of our mobile application, both native and web based. Some are used by our Patients, other support Medical Providers. We would also love for you to have some visual design chops to help raise the bar in that area. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of Natera’s Design team while working closely with our product and development partners to build innovative new products. 

What you will be doing

• Design and ship impactful products

• Collaborate with your product partners to explore ways to deliver new features while meeting the team’s business objectives

• Create workflows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs that capture possible solutions to product requirements

• Draw sketches, illustrations and storyboards to represent complementary dimensions of the experience you envision

• Conduct User Research to understand the patients and providers' experience and identify friction points and areas of improvement

• Support your engineering partners throughout the development lifecycle to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of features

Elevate Natera Design Practice

• Jointly define the quantitative and qualitative metrics used to assess the quality of design deliverables and guide further iterations 

• Grow Natera Design System by creating new components

• Elevate Natera's brand by updating our product's style-guide and visual assets.

• Refine the processes that drive our work to establish Natera Design Team as a reliable and predictable partner to our stakeholders

We want to hear from you if you have

• 6+ years professional experience in UI/UX Design

• A portfolio showcasing 2-3 projects you are particularly proud of

• Contributed to and used Mobile-first Design Systems at scale

• Experience designing engaging digital consumer experiences

• A passion for the design craft that drives you to produce refined deliverables

• Experience in healthcare or bio-tech - a plus

• Conducted User Research with sensitive populations - a plus

• This role reports into Natera’s Head of UX Design and Research.

• This is a Bay Area Hybrid position compatible with candidates located within driving distance of Natera’s San Carlos office.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.San Carlos, CA $112,600—$169,000 USD
