Job Description
As a Director, Executive Protective Services, you will join a diverse and dynamic team that provides protection for our senior executives and designated protectees. You will use your skills and experience in personal and physical security strategy to plan and execute security operations, conduct risk assessments, and consult with law enforcement and other security representatives to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. The position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and outstanding social skills. The position reports to the Senior Director of Executive and Event Services and is based at McDonald’s Headquarters in Chicago, IL.

Major Responsibilities
- Provide close protection to designated executives, ensuring their safety in both domestic and international locations.
- Collaborate with our Global Security Intelligence Team in preparing risk assessments and threat analysis; develop custom mitigation strategies.
- Continuously evaluate threat levels and adapt security strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate and implement detailed executive travel plans, secure transportation arrangements, and accommodations.
- Conduct advance site surveys and ensure secure environments at all destinations; includes route selections, vehicle security, venue security, emergency evacuation, and other relevant tasks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures for executives.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of security measures and suggest improvements, as necessary.
- Monitor and report any suspicious or hostile activities.
- Act swiftly and decisively during emergency situations, such as medical incidents, accidents, or security incidents.
- Provide immediate first aid, emergency medical assistance, or evacuation to designated facilities, if necessary.
- Liaise and coordinate with law enforcement and other security representatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding client information and security operations.
- Keep up to date with security trends, best practices, and technologies.

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260 – $190,310 per year

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in executive protection or a related field; diverse law enforcement or corporate security experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Ability to acquire and maintain Concealed Carry Weapons permit in Illinois, as well as meet other relevant licensing provisions.
- Pass a McDonald’s background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
- Maintain extreme confidentiality of sensitive information and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
- Ability to travel and work extended and “off hours”, as needed.
- Knowledge of advance security protocols to include site surveys, emergency action procedures, route planning, and reconnaissance.
