Job Description
The Senior Manager for Issuing Solutions Strategy for North America will be part of the team accountable for delivering the regional Issuing Solutions roadmap and ensuring it supports Visa's aggressive growth targets for Value-Added Services (VAS).
More specifically, this role, reporting into the Senior Director for Issuing Solutions, will help partner with Global and Regional Product and NA Sales teams to deeply understand regional nuances for VAS products and define the functional, commercial, and regulatory requirements to localize and deliver products for sale to regional clients.
This will require consistent interaction with global Issuing Solutions teams to inform the direction of the central Product roadmap - often acting as a regional extension of this central team.
Responsibilities:
- Help execute on a multi-year strategy for the regional Issuing VAS business, which considers nuances relevant to the specific region (e.g., fintech ecosystem, available payment methods, local banking regulation, mix of digital payments, issuer ecosystem, opportunities for inorganic growth...).
- Work closely with cross-functional and regional teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
- Support in development of business cases to support prioritization efforts
- Support and deliver regional product roadmaps that extend Visa's relevance beyond our core network assets. This includes:
- Build out creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa's many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development
- Help serve as conduit for synthesizing client feedback for product requirement purposes to ensure voice of the customer is represented
- Serve as intake channel for sales teams requests into enhancements and new product prioritization efforts (including understanding options and “true needs”)
- Partner with regional Commercialization leaders to build, execute, and monitor go-to-market motions so Solutions are easy to sell and easy to buy. This includes:
- Helping develop a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, which may include new products, bundles, or campaigns, based on local market needs
- Develop use-case, segment, and client-specific perspectives on solutions that solve key client problems/needs
- Inform pricing guidelines with market intelligence

- Help architect client-centric joint solutions including build, implementation, and post-launch optimization:
- Support sales teams in understanding clients' business and technical needs and defining solutions to meet them
- Link Issuing Solutions with other Visa Product Domains and Client Segments (Acceptance, Risk) to provide greatest value to the client
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8-9 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9-10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degee/ Masters preferred
- Prior payments industry experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with analytical rigor, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment across cross-functional (e.g. product, sales, strategy, marketing) teams
- Ability to develop content independently and prioritize workflows with limited supervision
- You are able to manage multiple project workstreams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems
- Ability to make compelling presentations and influence senior leaders
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility as a peer with Global Functions and Regions
- You are proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
