IT Specialist, Mid-Level

Description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to support Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as a IT Specialist, Mid-Level. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Perform coding for modules using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or other web-based programming languages
• Ensure course content consistently meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• Troubleshoot software problems and provide solutions to overcome those problems using the latest technologies
• Create visually-pleasing, content-rich learning solutions with user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation using commercial course authoring and other web tools
• Implement, test, and maintain solutions that optimize student learning
• Consult with instructional designers on the planning, use, and development of self-paced stand-alone online training modules, and develop online learning content using course authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Lectora, and other relevant tools
• Incorporate media components such as videos, images, animations or interactive elements into learning products, and assist in the implementation of online courses within learning management systems such as CSOD, Moodle, and Blackboard
• Ensure courseware compatibility with the Microsoft Teams and 365 and the Cornerstone OnDemand platforms and capabilities 

Requirements

• Possess CompTIA IT+ certification or equivalent
• Strong JavaScript, CSS, HTML experience
• Experience and capability to support creating animations and producing interactive media for training courses
• Experience with implementing courses in an LMS and using course authoring tool
• Utilization of web design tools (e.g., Photoshop, DreamWeaver)
• Possess high personal standards of technical knowledge
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills 

Desired

• Experience working closely with subject matter experts
• Possess a knowledge of Navy and military terminology

Education

High school diploma, or GED
