About the role

RH is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Senior Leader, Production to lead production operations within our Dennis & Leen/Formations workshop in Torrance, CA. This role oversees the execution of both standard and custom furniture programs, ensuring each piece reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality, and precision.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and oversee in-house production, purchasing, inventory, and quality control across furniture programs
  • Direct vendor production for both standard and custom pieces, ensuring alignment with specifications and finish standards
  • Monitor production status, inspect work at multiple stages, and coordinate corrections, repairs, or revisions
  • Maintain accurate product, order, and inventory data within ERP systems (Odoo) and associated production tools
  • Partner with R&D and CAD resources to develop new designs, specifications, and structural documentation
  • Source and evaluate new vendors, factories, materials, and manufacturing innovations
  • Execute and lead  project timelines, costs, and vendor relationships to ensure delivery expectations are met
  • Support customer service resolution processes, including RMAs and product quality inquiries
  • Apply deep knowledge of furniture construction, finishing techniques, and product development to elevate quality and execution
  • Lead, coach, and develop the production team through hiring, training, goal setting, and performance management
OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience leading production within furniture, fixtures, accessories, or manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in furniture fabrication, wood species, finishing methods, upholstery, carving, and decorative techniques
  • Experience managing custom furniture or made-to-order production programs
  • Strong understanding of CAD drawings, specifications, and furniture engineering principles
  • Proven success in leading and developing production teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with design, operations, and vendors
  • Spanish language fluency is helpful but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequently handle and position furniture components weighing up to 50 lbs, and move materials using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices
  • Frequently move throughout office, workshop, and warehouse environments regularly
  • Conducts inspections across production areas requiring standing, walking, bending, and close visual review
  • Works in environments with exposure to wood dust, finishes, adhesives, and manufacturing materials while following safety standards
