Job Description

• Overall technically and economically responsible for product/project (sub-projects HW, SW, CAL and services within scope of sold business case and the associated development, from SOD to release
• Responsible for achieving the project objectives and goals “on time”, “on spec/quality”, “on budget”, “on profit” as contracted in project charter.
• Maintain and increase customer satisfaction by appropriate customer communication regarding project deliverables and achievement of customer project goals
• Responsible for target achievement (according to Project Charter) and deviation counter-measures (e.g. in PPC, budget); price, SE in sales responsibility.

• Program version planning with the support of SW SDs(-R), SW PDs(-R) as well as the SPjM CAL regarding the delivery date and the content of the SW
• Planning and tracking of quality assurance measures and metrics in the sub-project
• Release of program versions
• Documentation of baselines (all necessary information about the SW and tools used for its generation)
• Planning and monitoring of the project specific ECU resources consumption
• Creation and validation of program versions
• Provision of program versions as a baseline for further developments in the NE division
• ECU SW documentation as well as freeze and archival of the developed SW products
• Measurement, documentation and monitoring of the ECU resources consumption
• Delivery of the software work products to internal customers (function development(1), calibration and plant)
• Creation of SW container for the plant and delivery to the calibration
• Testing and validation of the program versions including documentation of the results
• Provision of delivery documentation to internal/external customers
• Supports the ECU project manager while evaluating the functionality of the entire system with respect to the objectives of the ECU project
• Analysis and evaluation of risks for the SW Sub-Project
• Co-operation during team set up
• Operative management of the SW Sub-Project team members
• Co-ordination of the SW team in case of necessary support for SW start up in vehicle, expeditions as well as for error analysis
• Tracking of new requirements for automatic and manual integration tests
• Quotations on the basis of an RFQ or an internal specification for the SW Sub-Project (estimation of capacity and costs, rough scheduling, ECU resources estimation)
• Archival of the SW sub-project upon termination.
• Participation in Problem Resolution Management (identification, recording, analyzing, implementation, track to closure, monitoring)

Qualifications

5-8 years in Automotive embedded SW development / Embedded application development in power train projects

B.E/B.Tech, M.E/ M.Tech in Electronics and Communication / Electricals preferred

• Proficient/Strong in embedded C
• Know-how / Expertise in Automotive System domain, Powertrain Architecture

• Profound project management expertise (including processes, methods and tools),
  • Complete knowledge in any SDLC or V- model based SDLC in automotive control unit product like Engine ECU:- Requirement Engineering, System Impact Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit & System Testing and Software Integration, Function development, BSW Tests, IO Test.
• Integration of Autosaur software packages to complete program versions, Build tool chain
• Knowledge in Software in Loop is added advantage
• Hands-on on software configuration management tools (like eASEE/SCM)
• Basic Knowledge on communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, UART, SPI)
• Know-how in interfacing, configuring, controlling and diagnosis of Input (Sensors)-Output(Actuators) e.g. ADC, Digital, PWM, SENT, H-Bridge
• Know-how in different ASICs (e.g CY329, CJ970, CJ135, BTS7200 etc.) functionality and configuring it for product requirements
• Know-how in different Micro-controller (e.g Infineon, JDP, ST) + configuration (Micro controller startup, resources like Timers, DMA, Ports etc.)
• Know-how in complex drivers + configuration like lambda control, Knock detection, Injection, Ignition, Valve lift etc.
• Know-how in RTOS, OS scheduling, Interrupts
• Knowledge in Memory (EEPROM,
