Part Time Faculty (LDR-6025 Partnerships in Diversity)

Vermont State University invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position in Fall 2024 (August 26, 2024-December 20, 2024).

The course to be taught is LDR-6025, Partnerships in Diversity.

Duties:

Instruct an upper-level graduate course in an asynchronous format across the span of a 15-week semester. Address the Learning Objectives of the course using the base materials and assignments with supplements and creative instructional tasks. The course includes content of theory and research regarding gender, intercultural, socioeconomic, and global affairs and trends for professional environments. Participants learn strategies for effective communication across differences for formal organizational settings to form partnerships for projects, teams, and social and civic endeavors. Participants use applied inquiry to draw insights from their professional experiences for future visioning.

The successful candidate will have a terminal degree related in Leadership Studies or a similar field with an interdisciplinary grounding and multiple years of professional experience in program directorship, organizational management, or a similar applied position.

Minimum Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will have a terminal degree related in Leadership Studies or a similar field with an interdisciplinary grounding and multiple years of professional experience in program directorship, organizational management, or a similar applied position. Extensive effective teaching experience in higher education at the graduate level with considerable experience in distance education and individualized plans of study. Specialization areas in gender studies and communication, intercultural studies and communication, ethnicity, diversity, and equity studies, narrative and qualitative methods, applied inquiry, and professional advocacy. Living experience in global settings, work with individuals with special needs, and experience conducting training or consulting work with communities.

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC Part Time Faculty Federation Bargaining Unit Agreement.
