Summary:
Pratt & Whitney has an opportunity for a Materials Manager, Program Specific. This role reports into the Associate Director, Materials for the Airfoil & Isothermal Manufacturing (AIM) Mod Center in Columbus, GA.
The Materials Manager, Program Specific is a role that is both exciting and challenging. This position is a focal point for a designated program across the AIM mod center.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the critical parts list for the designated program and status updates during critical parts meetings; manage monthly/weekly delivery schedules; coordinate missed commit root cause and corrective action activities
Confer with engineering and purchasing regarding stock procurement and availability to ensure smooth operations; track and manage WIP inventory/Aged inventory
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Operations and Supply Planners to update delivery commit streams; manage end to end part movement (raw material inputs to shipping); coordinate/project manage Value Stream improvement projects; support internal/external customer calls for specific program; maintain Lines of Balance for program; schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests shipping orders
Review and maintain master production schedule; manage team with flexibility to determine how assignments are completed
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued to ensure that operations activities are conducted in accordance with established standards, and to maintain a controlled flow of required materials
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience in an engineering, operations management, quality, program/project management, supply chain or closely related industrial environment or a Master's degree and minimum 3 years experience in an engineering, operations management, quality, program/project management, supply chain or closely related industrial environment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SAP manufacturing Make-to-Order environment a plus
Able to lead a diverse team, setting and meeting goals and objectives
Able to influence people to achieve common objectives
Project management skills
