THE JOB:

As an Order Dispatcher for Room Service at Mandalay Bay, you will serve as the critical communication hub and air traffic control of our private-luxury dining division, orchestrating the flawless distribution of premium meals and VIP amenities directly to our guest suites. Going far beyond simple order-taking, you will operate with absolute precision and speed to expedite orders, keeping our talented culinary team and in-room delivery servers in perfect, real-time sync. By maintaining an immaculately organized dispatch station and monitoring every delivery window with meticulous care, your backstage coordination will ensure every in-room culinary experience arrives beautifully hot, flawlessly accurate, and reflective of our premier hospitality standards.

THE STARTING RATE: $23.0083 Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Receive and distribute order to Food Servers evenly and efficiently; fire order through Micros computers to kitchen lines for timely pick up

• Answer phone with professional manner

• Log all food service runs; add up total hours of service personnel for payroll and budgeting purpose at the end of each shift

• Help guests if they need expedited service due to an emergency

• Answer questions the guest may have in a courteous manner and advise of time of delivery when applicable

• Maintain excellent working relationships with Food Servers, Runners, Bus Person, and other fellow employees

• Maintain all safety and sanitation standards

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience preferred

• Previous Experience as a Food Server, Food Runner, or Busperson in a High-Volume restaurant preferred

• Previous experience as an Order Taker for Room Service or a similar resort setting preferred
