Job Description:

• Job Summary
◦ A Physician Assistant is an individual engaged in the examination or treatment of patients while under the supervision, control and responsibility of a licensed physician. A Physician Assistant maintains current licensure and credentialing as accepted by the MO State Board Registration for the Healing Arts and Cox Health. Within the Physician Assistant’s scope of practice and certification, the duties of this position include: 1) conducting comprehensive health assessments aimed at health promotion and disease prevention for patients; 2) diagnosis and management of pre and post orthopedic trauma conditions; 3) patient and family education as needed; and 4) available as a resource for other staff.

▪ Required: Graduate of accredited physician assistant program

▪ Preferred: Previous orthopedic trauma experience
◦ Skills
▪ Good clinical expertise and communication skills
▪ Excellent prioritizing and organizational skills
▪ Self-motivation and able to work independently with little direction
Licensure/Certification/Registration
▪ Required: Current license with state and current certification as a physician assistant
