About the role

Do you believe data tells the real story? We do! Redefining mobility requires quality data, metrics and analytics, as well as insightful interpreters and analysts. That's where Global Data Insight & Analytics makes an impact. We advise leadership on business conditions, customer needs and the competitive landscape. With our support, key decision makers can act in meaningful, positive ways. Join us and use your data expertise and analytical skills to drive evidence-based, timely decision making.

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Business Operations & Financial Supervisor to lead a team of financial analysts and operations specialists. While this role requires a sharp eye for corporate financials, budgeting, and operational efficiency, we are specifically looking for a leader who believes that the strength of the balance sheet starts with the strength of the team.

The ideal candidate is a "People First" leader—someone who finds as much professional satisfaction in a team member’s growth as they do in executing a quality quarterly forecast. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations while actively coaching, mentoring, and removing barriers for your direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership & Talent Development (The Priority)

  • Direct Supervision: Lead, inspire, and manage a team of professionals, fostering a culture of psychological safety, inclusion, growth mindset and high performance.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Conduct regular 1-on-1s focused not just on task updates, but on long-term career aspirations and skill-building.
  • Performance Management: Set clear expectations and provide real-time, constructive feedback. Lead the annual performance review process and create actionable Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Team Culture: Proactively manage team morale, resolve conflicts with empathy, and celebrate wins to maintain a highly engaged workforce.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
  • Operational Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements within financial workflows to increase accuracy and reduce cycle times.
  • Variance Analysis: Review financial performance against targets, providing insightful advisory to senior leadership on risks and opportunities.
  • Technology Spend: Strategic forecasting and procurement velocity, asset verification and compliance, and tech refresh
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure all financial activities adhere to corporate policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the finance department and other business units to support strategic initiatives and operational goals.

Why Join This Team?

In this role, you won't just be managing spreadsheets; you will be building the next generation of leaders within our organization. We offer a supportive environment where your growth as a manager is prioritized, and your passion for people is recognized as a core business asset.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, business operations, or accounting.
  • Leadership Track Record: Previous experience in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., Team Lead, Project Manager) with a demonstrable passion for developing others and being a strategic thought-partner.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Preferred Attributes

  • The "Coach" Mindset: You view leadership as a service to your team rather than a rank.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into a compelling narrative for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable leading through change and helping the team navigate ambiguity.
  • Problem Solver: A proactive approach to identifying operational bottlenecks and empowering the team to find solutions.
