What the role is about:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and preparing a wide variety of standard contracts and corporate documents, which are more fully enumerated below. This role requires excellent organizational skills, polished communication skills, a strong sense of initiative, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the General Counsel and Senior Corporate Counsel, supporting both legal and operational functions of the company.

Review, draft, and revise standard legal agreements, including:
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Vendor Contracts
Corporate Resolutions
Operating Agreements
Internal Investment Committee Approvals
Loan Assignment Agreements
Contribution Agreements
Loan Participation Agreements
Term Sheets
Engagement Letters
Assist with various corporate operational tasks, including:
Forming new corporate entities
Maintaining and updating corporate organizational documents
Interfacing with other business units such as accounting, compliance, investor relations, management, and operations
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in all documentation
Manage and prioritize multiple legal projects simultaneously
Collaborate with legal and business teams to keep projects moving forward
Maintain meticulous records and support document management practices
What you’ve accomplished:
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
Active bar membership in good standing in Illinois
3+ years of experience in corporate or transactional legal work
Familiarity with standard commercial agreements and corporate governance
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently
Positive, proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly and accurately review and process legal documents
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management tools
Notary Public or willingness to become a Notary Public preferred
What we expect:
Full-time
Expected schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Willingness to work in-office
