Position Overview
QinetiQ US seeks a Security Analyst to join the Avantus Defense Team in support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. The analyst will bring a working knowledge of the DoD security process and have specialized experience with industrial security (INDSEC) and information security (INFOSEC). Duties include:

- Assists in the functions of personnel security (PERSEC), physical security (PHYSEC), communication security (COMSEC), continuity of operations (COOP), information security/operations security (INFOSEC/OPSEC), industrial security (INDSEC), and general security administration (customer support). Provide general security function (customer support), such as, processing CAC and building access applications; access control requests; country and threat briefs; in/out processing of R&E personnel (civilian, military, IPA/detailee and contractor); indoctrinations/debriefings, security record management; courier card application processing; computer/network account access requests; and visit authorization requests. Provide all access control for OUSD(R&E) spaces in the Pentagon, Mark Center and Suffolk Building. Provide for all OUS(R&E) SIPR token administration and issue along with any Common Access Card resets. Transmit and retrieve all SCI cable traffic. Additional provide support for all OCONUS travel briefs for both official and unofficial travel of OUSD(R&E) personnel.
- In accordance with DoD 5200.02 and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704, accomplish PERSEC duties including but not limited to: running queries of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System Account (JPAS) database for clearance information, pass clearances, provide SCI indoctrination assistance, and update JPAS records as necessary; providing guidance to R&E personnel as required concerning clearance information.
- In accordance with DoDD 5200.08, DoDD 5200.01, DoD 5105.02, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, accomplish PHYSEC duties including but not limited to: processing and accreditation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF); certification of Temporary Secure Working Areas (TSWA), Top Secret Closed Storage areas (TSCC), Open Storage Secret areas (OSS), and Closed Storage Secret (CSS) areas. Assist with changes to combinations for GSA locks and containers and maintenance of Key Control Logs.
- In accordance with DoDI 8523.01 and NSA Manual 3-16, accomplish COMSEC duties including but not limited to: installation, programming and troubleshooting NSA approved COMSEC equipment (KSV-21 card, Security Telephone Equipment (STE), Secure VIOPR, and VIPER type secure communication); maintaining accountability of KSV-21 cryptography equipment; and training for COMSEC operators.
- In accordance with DoD 5200.01 (DoD Information Security Program) and DoD 5205.02 (DoD Operations Security Program), accomplish INFOSEC/OPSEC duties including but not limited to: providing guidance to R&E personnel on Classification and Declassification as HQ003418F0002 (juricicb222503) Page 33 of 62 necessary; compiling annual reports (e.g., ISOO Standard Form 311 Report); and conduct Original Classification Authority/Derivative Classification training.
