Senior Software Engineer (Java)

You’ll be joining an engineering team tasked with developing the next generation OANDA Labs tools, and supporting existing services integrated with our websites and trading platforms.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>In this role, you will: </b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Design and develop scalable cloud based microservices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure high product quality through code reviews and automated tests to increase confidence in releases</span></p></li><li><p><span>Be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health of our apps running in production (bugs, crashes, performance, etc)</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>What skillset you need, to be successful in this role:</b></b> <span> </span></p><ul><li><p><span>3+ years experience developing Java microservices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong knowledge of the Spring framework</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working experience with MySQL, Redis and Cassandra</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with Kafka</span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes</span></p></li><li><p><span>Previous experience in working with cloud platforms as GCP, AWS or Azure</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of Scala and Python would be beneficial</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in BigQuery or similar is a plus</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>OANDA Global Corporation is a diverse and global team with offices around the world.
