Overview
This role specializes in machining, fabrication and is responsible for driving sales, providing technical expertise, and developing customer relationships to promote and sell precision machining and fabrication services. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring clients receive optimal solutions tailored to their manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
• Identify and generate new business opportunities in industries requiring machining and fabrication services (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial equipment).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical requirements and offering appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts tailored to customer needs.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve company sales targets while ensuring profitability.
2. Technical Expertise & Customer Consultation
• Understand client specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing requirements to provide accurate solutions.
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on materials, machining processes (CNC, milling, turning, grinding, etc.), and fabrication techniques (welding, sheet metal work, etc.).
• Address technical inquiries, troubleshoot challenges, and recommend process improvements for clients.
3. Project Management & Coordination
• Oversee the transition of new projects from sales to production, ensuring accurate communication of customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality control of manufactured parts.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with client expectations and resolving any issues that arise.
4. Market Research & Strategy
• Stay updated on industry trends, new machining technologies, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyze customer feedback and market demands to refine sales strategies and improve service offerings.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish connections.
5. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status using CRM tools.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to management.
