Wallick’s Construction team is currently seeking a senior level Construction professional for the new role of Director of Preconstruction. - Lead the preconstruction efforts in preparing comprehensive and accurate estimates and budgets for multifamily, senior, and workforce projects.
- Collaborate with the internal and external teams to provide design guidance and oversight during the design phase.
- Engage key subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed proposals, including scope of work, project schedules, and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate with Construction Coordinator to prepare AIA, HUD, or other prime construction contract documents.
- Work alongside construction team members to ensure smooth transition into construction.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- 10 years’ experience in preconstruction management at a senior level.
- Tenured performance at the senior level in a similar preconstruction role.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
- Highly proficient in plan review and cost analysis driving cost effective design decisions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-starting.
