Chemical Management Coordinator

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Spring House, PA 19477

Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

Pay: $21.00/hr. - $23.00/hr. (bi-weekly)

What we’re looking for  

·       Education: High School Diploma or GED required

·       Experience: 2+ years experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.

·       Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

·       Preferred Qualifications:  

• Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing

• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Responsible for collecting packages from delivery docks each day to ensure timely processing of incoming materials.

• Unpack chemicals upon arrival and thoroughly check packing slips to confirm the accuracy of deliveries.

• Enter and process items in the customers system to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Facilitate the daily delivery of items to various departments, ensuring all necessary materials are available for ongoing operations.

• Maintain a daily metrics spreadsheet to monitor usage and flow of chemicals, supporting data-driven decision-making.

• Update and maintain a vendor metrics spreadsheet to track vendor performance and reliability.

• Process the return of chemicals to the stockroom as required, ensuring proper documentation and inventory adjustments.

• Utilize CisPro software for tracking and managing chemical inventory, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

• Conduct monthly inspections of the chemical stockroom to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to verify inventory levels.

• Regularly identify and remove expired chemicals from the inventory to maintain a safe working environment.
