What you'll do...

The Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy will help build and implement the vision for the Walmart brand. Their goal is to develop strategies and briefs, in collaboration with multiple external agencies and internal partners, that help us drive the brand forward into new spaces and places, helping customers see us as a modern retailer and build long-lasting emotional connections. You’ll work closely and report to the Director of Brand Strategy & Marketing, developing strategies that pull down from Walmart’s purpose of “Save Money, Live Better,” working to drive bold actions and recommendations for the most senior leaders in the organization, including the CMO, SVP Marketing, and VP Creative. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Development and execution of high-impact, culture-forward advertising and experiences for Walmart’s marketing – including writing sharp creative briefs, providing sound and thoughtful feedback, and managing the go to market delivery
  • Partner with our Design & Creative stakeholders to implement the brand across the enterprise, including visual identity
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders that have a shared stake in the Walmart brand including, including the Associate team and Corporate Affairs
  • Collaborate with external and internal creative partners to drive the strategies and programs forward
  • Develop new brand strategies, actions, and recommendations for how customers can see, feel and believe Walmart is a brand for them

  • You are highly collaborative and engaging others energizes you – you believe partners only make the work better even if it’s not the shortest path to completion
  • You are a self-starter – you get things done, big or small. You don’t need a structure to thrive. Ambiguity and setbacks don’t faze you – you thrive in complexity and ever optimistic.
