Job Summary:

This role will provide full operational support to CMG’s and SPG’s Syndicate Desk for the firm’s Bill & Deliver mandates in regard to obtaining eligibility with all vendors. 
Capital Market Group Primary Desk: Investment Grade, High Yield, Equities, Private Placements / Project Finance, and Advisory.  
Securitized Products Primary Desk: Asset Backed Securities, Collateralized Loan Obligations, and Pass-Through Notes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Obtain new issue eligibilities with DTC & Euroclear/Clearstream to ensure settlement for global notes
  • Apply for new issue eligibility with FINRA and monitor TRACE reporting tool to resolve discrepancies and adhere to FINRA regulations for Primary transactions
  • Registration letters, DTC eligibility, closing mechanics takedown vs DWAC and LIBOR settings on floating rate notes
  • Work with the desk to advise on non-conventional deals to outline operational mechanics for origination and distribution
  • Secure funding via Day Loan for deal closings
  • Advise the desk on internal and external infrastructure requirements pertaining to new primary businesses, i.e. Pass-Through Notes, etc.
  • Coordinate logistics on ad-hoc settlements such as accredited investor notes on CLO offerings
  • Ensure flagging of trades for 144a/Reg S offerings to include prospectus delivery as stated by FINRA regulation
  • Reconcile sensitive intrafirm treasury hedge transfers from CMG to the Rates desk
  • Provide real-time support for order entry, flow and execution and communicate to issuer/client for wire instructions, executed underwriting documents and KYC
  • Act as a buffer to supplement trade support responsibilities, including trade allocation & internal FOBO reconciliation
  • Action investor DKs on closing date to ensure full settlement and mitigate any fails which allows for full return of funds at no additional cost
  • Support entire credit sales on pricing date to ensure the accuracy and validity of orders including hedges
  • Position management, outreach to primary investors for settlement confirmation
  • Engage with the desk to ensure qualitative & quantitative deal information is logged into Dealtrak
  • Ensure deal information is accurate for Regulatory Finance’s moment to moment capital changes
  • Update and ensure payment of sales credit for orders originating from affiliates
  • Distribution of month end marks for ABS and CLO positions 
  • Run PnL calculations on all short covers for every deal
  • Sole ownership of firm’s Out of Pocket submissions and Final Settling of fees for all deal types

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree plus 3 - 7 years of Syndicated Loan Trading experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/ operation management and/or commensurate amount of commercial banking experience is preferable
  • Very strong customer service skills with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills with the ability and willingness to work in a structured, high paced environment, with daily routine operations
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to operate in a challenging and rapidly changing environment with a desire to accept new assignments and the ability to learn new principles and dynamic systems quickly

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K - $115K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
