About the role
What success looks like in this role:
·Architecture & Design
- Design and develop full stack security architectures covering application security, API security, zero trust, identity & access management, cloud security, secure DevOps, SIEM, SOAR, GRC frameworks, and network security.
- Incorporate LAN, WAN, and INFOSEC controls into end-to-end secure infrastructure designs.
- Develop security blueprints and reusable architecture patterns aligned with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS, PCI-DSS).
- Integrate AI-powered threat detection, behavior analytics, and automated response into architecture patterns.
- Product Ownership & Solution Architecture
- Conduct deep market and competitive analysis, benchmarking against the industry best security offerings to drive differentiation.
- Provide a well-planned security solution roadmap and execute it as the product owner working with the solutions engineering team to deliver the solution.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support interactions with advisors, analysts, industry forums, and innovation summits.
- Provide high-level solution architecture and technical guardrails to delivery teams, integrating best-of-breed toolsets and aligning to industry reference architectures.
- Contribute to the evolution of managed security services, secure platforms, and AI-infused security product lines.
- Build ROI calculators, pricing models, pitch decks and other artifacts needed to build an end-to-end solution.
- Solutioning & Client Engagement
- Act as the technical lead during pursuits, shaping client-specific security solutions and transformation roadmaps.
- Provide presales engineering support including technical solutioning, demos, and proposal input.
- Train and enable Internal Unisys teams acting as an SME which include sales, marketing etc.
- Participate in architecture review boards, tabletop exercises, security assessments, and red/blue team exercises with clients.
- Translate business risks into technical countermeasures and measurable solution outcomes.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Contribute to the development of AI-driven security offerings, including choosing the best of breed AI tools, Integrating and deploying them at an enterprise scale.
- Identify open-source, commercial, and in-house tools that can accelerate secure software and cloud delivery.
- Publish reference architectures, white papers, and represent the GSI in client workshops, analyst briefings, and industry conferences.
- Security Sales Experience: Prior involvement in security solution pre-sales, shaping proposals, building demos or proof-of-concepts, or directly supporting sales pursuits with clients.
- Client-Facing Consulting Experience: Ability to lead client discussions, whiteboard solutions, and handle CISO/CTO-level conversations with credibility and confidence.
- Product Roadmap Experience: Ability to lead client discussions, whiteboard solutions, and handle CISO/CTO-level conversations with credibility and confidence.
- Certifications: One or more industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, SABSA, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, CKA, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Experience in Regulated Industries: Exposure to security architectures in regulated sectors like Government, Financial Services, Energy, or Healthcare.
- Startup or Mid size or Innovation Lab Background: Experience working in high-growth environments or innovation-driven security labs, contributing to fast-paced prototyping or productization.
- AI/ML Security Understanding: Awareness of emerging risks and security patterns in GenAI, LLMOps, and ML model governance.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
BA/BS degree and 8+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s degree preferred
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering, architecture, or secure full stack development roles.
- Expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: IAM, AppSec, CloudSec, Data Security, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, SIEM, SOAR, GRC, or network security.
- Strong programming background in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages; experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Kubernetes security is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of modern security frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, NIST CSF, or SLSA.
- Experience with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender, GCP Chroni
