Visit-Based Compensation

  • Routine Visits: $75–$100 per visit

  • Admissions (Start of Care): $150–$200 per visit

  • Death Visits / Pronouncements: $75–$150 per visit

  • Discharges: $75–$150 per visit

  • Recertifications / Clinical Assessments: $75–$150 per visit

  • On-Call Standby: $3–$5 per hour (plus visit pay if called in)

  • Hourly Rate (when applicable): $35–$45/hour

Compensation varies based on experience, visit type, role focus (field vs admissions), and territory needs.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN or Part-Time opportunity supporting patients across the Fort Worth area. This role offers flexible scheduling, per-visit compensation, and the opportunity to deliver compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled hospice nursing care in home and community-based environments

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations

  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care

  • Document all visits, care plans, and clinical notes in WellSky / Kinnser

  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families

  • Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management and end-of-life care

  • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned

  • Ensure compliance with hospice regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation

Qualifications

Required

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas

  • Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience

  • Working knowledge of WellSky / Kinnser hospice documentation

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred

  • CHPN certification

  • Hospice admissions or case management experience

  • Comfort working within a per-visit productivity model
