The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Lead to join our team!

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
As a Health and Wellbeing Lead, you will Assist with the organization of programs, and with monitoring of systems, within the Health and Well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Program Directors and/or Coordinators with program implementation.
- Maintain tracking systems within the Health and Well-being department.
- Create program workshops for staff and members.
- Maintain the daily operations of program area by responding to requests, inquiries, concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
- Provide kick start orientations to members of all fitness levels.
- Instruct and lead group exercise classes.
- Demonstrate proper form and technique using current safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and complete records on each member.
- Understand and actively practice our commitment to the Health Seeker by serving, building relationships, and connecting with members who struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years related experience in the field.
- YMCA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and/or Foundations of Group Exercise certification or equivalent, such as ACE, ACSM, or AFAA certifications.
- Knowledge of basic health and fitness principles and components, exercise prescription and strength training
- Be able to set an excellent example in health, fitness and member service.
- Intermediate level of computer knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications.
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage: $16.66 to $17.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
Location: Tom Taylor Family YMCA, Gig Harbor, WA
