Role Description:The Assistant Program Manager, Distribution Control is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating programs and monitoring system-wide activities for the Department of Water Operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provides daily planning, administration, and management of assigned areas of responsibility.
Provides engineering and technical assistance to operational Department Directors and managers.
Provides expert technical guidance and assistance on water and sewer systems, operations, design and construction matters.
Manages smart Water Distribution system programs and provides guidance in the development of projects or system updates.
Monitors and analyzes the operation and performance of the water distribution and transmission system utilizing pressure sensor technology, leak detection technology, SCADA system, and GIS.
Prepares safe clearance and water main shutdown plans in support of work conducted on the water distribution and transmission system.
Consults and coordinates with contractors, project managers, other agencies, and other DC Water departments through the design and construction phase of projects to manage and
