Position Overview

The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking a housekeeper to perform necessary housekeeping duties required to maintain cleanliness and sanitary environment within all buildings on the residential school campus at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired. This position directs and instructs student workers in a student work program in the methods and procedures of housekeeping; requisitions necessary housekeeping supplies in a timely manner and maintains security of supplies and equipment; makes beds and changes soiled linens and monitors and reports necessary work orders for assigned areas.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as Housekeeper for the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired.
  • Directs and instructs student workers in a student work program in the methods and procedures of housekeeping.
  • Requisitions necessary housekeeping supplies in a timely manner and maintains security of supplies and equipment.
  • Makes beds and changes soiled linens.
