Associate Software Engineer

Position Description

Serco is seeking a 2025 Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL, supporting our Global Battle and Mission Readiness Division. As an entry-level software engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical solutions through the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications. This role provides hands-on experience working with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex technical challenges in support of defense systems.

 

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications and systems using logical and mathematical methodologies.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and other developers to integrate electronic data processing systems into product and commercial software.
• Analyze system capabilities and user requirements to resolve programming and system operation challenges.
• Prepare operating instructions and assist in the development of utility programs, compilers, and operating systems.
• Ensure adherence to established software development standards and practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must be currently completing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be majoring in or have majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A foundational understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
