About the job
The IB strategy aims to grow by focussing on partnerships with groups of schools, districts and systems (GDS). These GDS require complex coordination of large volumes of professional learning. This position is the PD Delivery department’s POC for the Paraguay Project’s professional learning delivery, requiring regular collaboration within the department.
Paraguay is a GDS that has requested professional learning in the areas of leadership and teacher capacity development. This unique, high-volume need for professional development is such that a unique country-specific strategy for professional development delivery is required. This role will be responsible for ensuring the PD offerings correspond to Paraguay Project Training Proposal, a project with a duration of approximately 18 months.
They will oversee the development and delivery schedule as well as corresponding reporting and certification requirements. They will work in collaboration with the Requested Business Associate Manager, Online PD Manger, Government Partnerships Manager, and Senior Solutions Manager to support the planning of requested events, as well as the associated system builds. They will represent PDD in collaborations with the Ministry of Education and develop solutions to troubleshoot unforeseen technical issues as they arise.
- Coordinate the delivery of all Professional Development in Paraguay per the terms of the Training Proposal and contract. This will be done through collaboration with PD Delivery and with other departments such as IBEN, Authorization, Education Systems Solutions and Government Partnerships
- Oversees the staffing of all workshops per the delivery schedule
- Manage all logistics associated with learning delivery
- Responsible for a positive and productive working relationship with assigned Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) ensuring timelines and deliverables as outlined in the contract are met
- Collaborates with, and provides guidance to, other departments such as IBEN, in the day-to-day management of relevant PD events
- Ensures accurate & timely reporting and certifications per the terms of the contract (schedule)
- Serve as tier 2 support for IB Answers and manage an escalation and communication channel(s) protocol
- Oversees the technical support of any external-facing learning systems (EMS, LMS, CRM)
- Support the registration of all participants in the EMS
Support the event builds of all PD workshops in the CRM, as well as oversee event management on this platform
About You
- Excellent English and Spanish oral and written skills. Fluency in both languages is required.
- Extensive experience in project management and/or demand analysis.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience in the use of LMSs and EMSs a plus.
- degree level or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrable professional experience in an education environment is desired.
- Demonstrable experience in processes management.
- The ability to communicate confidently and clearly within and across teams
- The ability to work with multiple stakeholders from diverse cultures.
