Job Summary:
Are you passionate about early childhood education and ready to lead a dynamic learning environment? As the Site Director at Point Loma Nazarene University's Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our laboratory preschool while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners, mentoring college students, and collaborating with a dedicated team. This 10-month position is perfect for an experienced educator who thrives on leadership, organization, and creativity.Salary:
Pay range $58,080 - $65,000 (10 months per year schedule)

Job Description:
What We're Looking For
Master’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
At least five years of excellence in teaching young children.
Strong organizational and management skills to oversee day-to-day operations.
Team-oriented mindset with effective conflict resolution skills.
Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills, including parent relations and community outreach.
Knowledge of early childhood licensure standards and commitment to maintaining compliance.
A commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University.
Current in early childhood education practices and professional development.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the daily operations of the Early Childhood Learning Center, including facilities maintenance, safety, and sanitation.
Implementing policies, procedures, and curriculum as developed by the ECLC TEAM.
Developing and preparing educational programming and learning assessments for children.
Coaching and mentoring college students during their fieldwork experiences at the ECLC.
Hiring, training, and scheduling student aides each semester, ensuring compliance with teacher-staff ratios.
Engaging with parents by providing program tours, timely communication, and contributing to newsletters.
Promoting the ECLC to community parents and ensuring enrollment aligns with admissions policies.
Maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and educational learning environment, including displays and bulletin boards.
Ensuring compliance with California Community Care Licensure Title 22 regulations.
Leading workshops and assisting with lab setups to enhance learning experiences.

Physical Requirements:
Standing and sitting, both in chairs and on the floor, for periods greater than one hour. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with young children, students, parents, and co-workers in person and by phone. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. throughout the day.
