Position Overview
This position is accountable for analyzing, developing and implementing complex technology applications, preparing required reports to maintain the necessary administrative systems and data file operation reporting systems, and providing user assistance and training for technology resources throughout the department's District 9 area which includes the counties of Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White, and Williamson. The incumbent acts as a technology team project leader on development projects as assigned.

Essential Functions
- Ensures the development, maintenance, and documentation of technology applications to meet departmental, regional, and district technology goals and objectives.
- Develops and maintains data resources to ensure accurate information to District 9 users.
- Ensures adequate user training of technology applications by assessing user needs and training curriculum.
- Performs as technology team project leader on development projects as assigned.
- Provides the Regional Information Technology Manager with pertinent and timely application documentation for charter development.
- Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree majoring in computer science or management systems, OR Completion of two years of college PLUS two years of experience in developing computer applications, OR Six years of experience with developing computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience providing customer service in an information technology support environment.
- Experience and general understanding of internet and intranet technology.
- Working knowledge of various mainframe and personal computer databases and software applications.
- General understanding and ability to be conversant with a variety of technology and software applications.
