Job Summary
The Flint Physical Therapy Department is looking for an Intermittent lecturer to be a secondary lab instructor for Fall 2025 of PTP 841: Medical and Surgical Conditions II. The labs meet on campus on Thursdays from 8-10 a.m. and 10:30-12:30 p.m. August 25-December 13, 2025.
Responsibilities
The LEO faculty member will be responsible for assisting the primary instructor in conducting labs for this course and administering practical exams. The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to the application of physical therapy management for safe care of medically compromised patients encountered in any acute, inpatient or home health care environment across the life span. This course is lab based.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or equivalent) professional PT program
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Licensed or regulated in a U.S. jurisdiction as a physical therapist.
- One year of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy or relevant content area.
- Contemporary expertise in the application of physical therapy management for safe care of medically comporomised patients encountered in any acute care, inpatient or home health care environment across the life span.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in physical therapy preferred
- Member of APTA preferred.
