What You’ll Do:

  • Be the go-to expert for maintaining our autonomous vehicles—from Level 1 to Level 5 systems.
  • Perform maintenance and modifications on Ford E-Transit Vans, Beep’s primary autonomous vehicle platform, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical systems using advanced tools like oscilloscopes and scan tools.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and repair brake, steering, suspension, and electronic control systems.
  • Interpret schematics and service manuals to support vehicle modifications and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve mechanical issues and support change/incident management.
  • Assist with aftermarket modifications to enhance vehicle performance and autonomy.
  • Stay current with certifications and industry standards.

Requirements

Experience:
3+ years of hands-on automotive technician experience, preferably with electric or autonomous vehicles.

Prior work with Ford E-Transit Vans or similar EV platforms is a strong plus.


Technical Skills:
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive electrical systems.

Familiarity with scan tools, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.

Ability to troubleshoot CAN bus systems, ECUs, BCMs, and wiring harnesses.

Experience interpreting electrical schematics and service manuals.


Certifications:
ASE Certification or equivalent (preferred).

EV or hybrid vehicle maintenance certification (preferred).

Willingness to maintain and update certifications as required.


Tools & Systems Knowledge:
Experience with preventative maintenance schedules and documentation.

Knowledge of incident/change management procedures.

Comfortable using digital tools for service tracking and reporting.


Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Other Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,000 - $75,000 per year.
