Description
Grant-funded position - 1 year assignment.
32-35 hours per week; full-time with benefits.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate student services, administration, and instruction.
- Customer service: Answering questions and providing information and forms.
- Program marketing: Writing and placing ads, preparing brochures, and conducting tours.
- Applicant information: Requesting completed applications, verifying information, and interviewing family members and clients.
- Onboarding: Managing the onboarding of clients.
- Referral: Referring clients to other, appropriate programs.
- Admission processing: Coordinating application processing.
- Student support: Providing admissions support services to other programs and areas.
- Information dissemination: Sharing information about the program.
- Typically, the first point of contact.
- Taking walk-in and scheduled admissions appointments with new students.
- Assist students in evaluating their aptitudes and abilities through a systematic transition from school to employment or school to other education by identifying needs, interests, and preferences.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate options and services with a primary goal of providing a smooth transition.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships onsite and in the community.
- Prepare necessary documents and professional reports.
- Representing MTC at recruiting events and maintaining bulletin boards and brochure racks, etc.
- Primary instructor for community based customer service cohorts.
- Maintain a collaborative work environment and work well with others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BA/BS degree required. Minimum 2 years of experience in school admissions, teaching/training or related experience. Special Education certification preferred. Discovery certification through Vocational Rehab or willingness to obtain it within the first 90 days. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent customer service. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under limited direction while working under pressure to meet goals and deadlines. Problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills. Time management, highly organized and detail oriented is required. Must be a self-starter and can be a contributing team member. Must have a people-first and service-oriented demeanor. Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
Must comply with and pass Level II background screening (F.S. 435.04 and 409.907), and pass drug screening.
