Senior Accounting and Finance Associate (AR)

Our aim is to elevate the car leasing field and pave the way for the future of mobility in Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Mexico and across the globe.</p><p></p><p><strong>People at FlexCar</strong></p><p>We are constantly looking for curious and ambitious minds that are eager to be part of an exciting journey and a very strong professional team, so if you are ready to kick off your career at one of the most promising European start-ups, join us!</p><p></p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Lead and manage the Accounts Receivables team within the Accounting &amp; Finance department</li> <li>Oversee team activities including AR invoicing, treasury function,  preparation of legal documentation for debt cases, month-end closing tasks, and the development and optimization of AR processes in the ERP system</li> <li>Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments such as Corporate Finance, FP&amp;A, and Business Operations to address ad hoc issues, implement new procedures, and meet reporting requirements</li> <li>Prepare and submit monthly tax returns, including JL10, VAT returns, VIES, Intrastat, and withholding tax filings</li> <li>Oversee and manage MyData </li> <li>Perform accounting duties, including accounting and commercial reconciliations for large data files related to customers, suppliers, revenue, expenses, loans, and IFRS 16.</li> <li>Handle month-end and year-end closing tasks, and actively contribute to the annual financial audit as well as ad-hoc tax audits</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>University Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics from a top tier university in Greece or abroad</li> <li>5-7 years of Αccounting</li> <li>Solid skills in Αccounting and Τax due diligence</li> <li>Strong skills in analyzing data combining several excel spreadsheets</li> <li>Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail </li> <li>Orderliness and ability to work independently</li> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate a number of tasks with a wide range of stakeholders in a startup environment</li> <li>Ideally, you are an automotive enthusiast!</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Opportunity to work in one of the fastest-growing scaleups</li> <li>Private Health Insurance</li> <li>Free coffee, snacks and beverages</li> <li>Car benefits</li> <li>Ongoing training and development</li> <li>Competitive salary</li> <li>Amazing working environment based on Respect, Fairness, and Transparency</li> </ul><p></p><p><em>All applications will be treated in utmost confidence and will only be seen by members of our recruitment team.</em></p>
